WEB: Where Everybody Belongs

INCOMING 6TH GRADERS/NEW STUDENTS: If you prefer that your student does not receive a phone call inviting them to orientation, please complete this Google Form.

WEB is a middle school transition program designed to welcome and support 6th graders and new students. By fostering connections and mentorship, WEB helps students feel comfortable and confident in their first year.

At its core, WEB empowers 8th-grade students to serve as mentors, guiding younger peers through the challenges of middle school. These WEB Leaders offer encouragement, share experiences, and provide valuable advice for success.

Why WEB Matters: A positive first-year experience greatly improves student success. WEB ensures 6th graders feel connected and supported by pairing them with experienced mentors who help them navigate this transition.

Key Components:
  • Orientation – WEB Leaders introduce new students to middle school life.

  • Social Follow-Ups – Structured activities promote engagement and a positive school climate.

  • Leader Check-Ins – Mentors provide ongoing individual support.

At MVMS, WEB is more than a program—it’s a community where every student belongs.
