After School Program

Mesa Verde Middle School offers your student before and after school academic and extracurricular opportunities during the school year. All programs are made possible by the After School Education and Safety grant and are free of charge. 
 

Program Hours:

After School Program: Monday - Friday from 2:25-6:00 PM

Due to grant requirements, student’s enrolled in ASES must adhere to all of our attendance policies.  The intention of the program is to serve students 5-days a week for the full duration of the program.  Students are required and responsible for scanning in and out of ASES every single day for their attendance to count.  If students cannot attend for the full duration of the program, parents need to contact the Site Supervisor to request an Early Release Form to have on file. In order to ensure we are prioritizing enrollment to students that need the program, students are expected to maintain 80% or better valid attendance to maintain enrollment in the ASES program.

What does a student’s time at ASES after school look like?

• The dismissal bell for school rings at 2:25 PM. Students must scan in assigned grade level spaces. ASES students may not loiter around campus or leave campus. All students in ASES must check in with an ASES staff member before attending teacher office hours or other on-campus activities. 
• Students will receive a snack from an ASES staff member. 
• Academic time session is 2:35p - 3:05 PM
• Optional snack is provided from 3:05PM until 3:15pm 
• Activity sessions begin at 3:15pm and run until 5:15/5:30pm
• Closing activity from 5:30- 6:00pm
• Activity sessions include any number of extracurricular enrichment opportunities including art, sports, STEM, video games, and other unique activities planned by ASES staff with input and feedback from students.
